Castles for Two (1917)

Wealthy American Patricia Calhoun comes vacationing to Ireland where she is struck by the hardship of the locals. Siding with the peasant gives her a poor first impression of their Irish Lord. However Lord Brian O’Neil is no cruel landlord and his estate is struggling too. So much so that his sisters and mother are pressuring him to court this new wealthy visitor, but Brian believes he has no interest in some meddlesome American. However fate, Patricia, and maybe some fairies, have their own opinion. 48 minutes *Castles for Two is marked by several areas of decomp but still remains very watchable!
