A touching tale about love and hate, directed by Burton King it is the story of Jewish father whose desire to avenge his daughter threaten to overcome his love of the granddaughter he raised, starring Dore Davidson and Zena Keefe. Next up is a gorgeous transfer from an original amber print of the exciting action drama THE COAST PATROL. Starring Kenneth MacDonald, Claire de Lorez and an adorable eighteen year-old Fay Wray as an innocent who is targeted by a lascivious smuggler, played by Gino Corrado. Then it is the lovely Clara Bow alongside Clive Brook in the Hawaiian romantic drama HULA. Victor Fleming directs this tale about a wild child out to not only win the heart of her man but free him from his loveless marriage as well. Finally we have another extremely rare treat, the surviving feature version of lost serial THE GOLDEN STALLION. Harry S. Webb directs Maurice 'Left' Flynn and Molly Malone as the face off against villain Joe Bonomo in their search for a mysterious Indian treasure.
For sound DVDs we start with the first sound adaption of Nathaniel Hawthorne's THE SCARLET LETTER. Transferred from an excellent and complete print this historical romantic drama stars Colleen Moore in her last film role as proud Hester Prynne, co-staring Hardie Albright and Henry B. Walthall. Then in SQUADRON OF DOOM, the feature version of the ACE DRUMMOND Serial (which you can get: here), its up to the flying G-man to fight a mysterious villain known as 'The Dragon' who is targeting the planes and airports of the expanding International Airways. Last up is THE FUNNY MANNS, a collection of twenty silent comedy shorts narrated by Cliff Norton as humorous tales about his father or uncles. The Cliff Norton opening skits themselves are not present allowing us to include more classic shorts subjects on this one disc set. Featuring the works of Billy Bevan, Oliver Hardy, Mickey Rooney, Charley Chase, Billy West, Raymond McGee, Mary-Ann Jackson, Andy Clyde, Gale Henry and the Tons of Fun trio: Frank "Fatty" Alexander, Hilliard "Fat" Karr, and Kewpie Ross!
