We also have a Welsey Barry as jockey trying to follow his dreams in the early sound drama THE THOROUGHBRED which co-stars Judith Barrett and Pauline Garon. Next Bebe Daniels and Ben Lyon make a great pair in the early crime-drama ALIAS FRENCH GERTIE and finally the action-packed Republic serial KING OF THE TEXAS RANGERS twelve exciting chapters starring football sensation 'Slingin' Sam' Baugh.

Four rare western shorts all directed by and staring the great William S Hart! Includes: Mr. 'Silent' Haskins, The Taking of Luke McVane, Bad Buck of Santa Ynez, Tools of Providence, plus the fragments.

MARTYRS OF THE ALAMO (1915)
Christy Cabanne directs a terrific ensemble cast including Sam De Grasse, Allan Sears, Walter Long and Alfred Paget in this historic retelling of The Battle of the Alamo. Full of impressive crowd and battle scenes!

SANDY BURKE OF THE U-BAR-U (1919)
This rather obscure Louis Bennison western is plenty of fun! A cowboy rescues a young girl and takes it upon himself to see she is cared for and soon finds himself tangled up in some trouble at the U-Bar-U ranch.

BATTLING BUNYAN (1924)
Scrawny Wesley Barry is a very unlikely boxer in this comedy-drama about a young man willing to suffer derision and a beating to get the money he needs for his dream. Co-stars Molly Malone and directed by Paul Hurst.


SOUND DVDs

ALIAS FRENCH GERTIE (1930)
Babe Daniels and Ben Lyon are great in this early sound crime-drama about a pair of criminals who fall in love and try to go straight. But can they resist the lure of crime and easy money? George Archainbaud directs.

THE THOROUGHBRED (1930)
Richard Thorpe directs Wesley Barry, Judith Barrett and Pauline Garon in this drama about a young man who follows his dream of becoming a jockey only to discover success has its own special perils.

KING OF THE TEXAS RANGERS (1941)
Football hero Slingin' Sam Baugh stars in this action-packed Republic serial about the Texas Rangers battling the secretive Fifth Column and their plans to sabotage American industry. Twelve exciting chapter!
