John Allmen has become a tyrant in his own home constantly criticizing his wife Mary while being entirely unappreciative of how hard she works for the family. Old Nana, John's childhood Nanny, is outraged to see John behaving like a brute in his own home and conspires with Mary's mother to help Mary and teach John a lesson in the process.
