Author April Poole has just completed her new manuscript and in this latest tale her adventurous alter ego is out protect the famous Mannister Diamond from a scheming jewel thief. Posing as the diamond's aristocratic owner she plans to make sure it is safely delivered to Cape Town, South Africa, however she finds herself unprepared for romantic entanglements on the southbound cruise.

A troubled romance guided by visions of the past! Marion Davies plays Pauline, the willful daughter of the Vandermuellen family. Her father intends her to marry the greedy Duke of Chavannes, but Pauline wants none of it, her heart belongs instead to John Grant, a struggling young doctor. The tale is told across the ages with wonderful scenery, costumes and a most elaborate Spanish galleon set.
